"For one major grant, reviewers intensively queried our mechanism for tracking samples. As soon as they heard we used Freezerworks the queries ended and the grant was funded. We love it."

Freezerworks Basic is a powerful and easy-to-use program for tracking frozen samples. Freezerworks combines the flexibility of a user-definable information management system with the solid foundation of a relational database. This program is best if you are a laboratory with a limited number of data fields, and a very basic set of permissions and security levels (Administration, Data Entry, View Only). Freezerworks Basic is easy to set up and learn to use. Even so, you will find this program to be very powerful in storing and managing freezer data. Freezerworks Basic is available as a standalone (single user) or Client/Server (multi-user) product.

Complete Freezerworks with the bar code package.

Key Benefits:

  • Centralizes and streamlines your laboratory's freezer inventory management.
  • Saves developer costs and system down time because the lab is empowered to make changes.
  • Easy to set up and use.
  • Saves valuable time searching for samples.
  • Integrates both the vial labeling and storage tasks into one program.
  • Streamlines data transfer by exchanging data with other programs electronically through the powerful import/export option and/or ODBC connectivity (included with client/server version).
  • Electronic transfer of data also ensures data integrity.
  • Meets regulatory requirements, including 21 CFR Part 11, with a robust audit trail.
  • Seamless migration to Freezerworks Unlimited, as needs expand.
  • Operates in a cross platform environment so that laboratory personnel can continue to use their preferred operating systems. Runs in Windows, Mac, or both. Client server flexibility allows both Mac and Win machines to access the same server.
  • Very affordable.

Features:

  • Works for all freezer and tank racking systems.
  • Manages all your sample data with Sample ID, Sample Date, Sample Type, 18 additional user-defined fields you name and define, and a notes field.
  • Relational database links aliquots (vials) to samples in a one-to-many relationship. Track number of thaws for each aliquot. As vials are pulled, Freezerworks updates the number of vials and volume totals automatically.
  • "Point and click", "drag and drop" your way through your freezer data. Move vials, boxes, and racks automatically.
  • Search and move through freezers using "Explorer-style" tree structure.
  • Track vial movement in and out of the lab with the Transactions module.
  • Take advantage of the flexible report writer and content-rich pre-configured reports, including empty positions reports.
  • Print bar code and human readable vial labels designed to withstand long-term cryogenic storage and thawing processes.
  • Use CLIP assign option to fill and discard racks of clinical samples in seconds.
  • Import data from existing databases and spreadsheets, or use the import feature to update existing records.
  • Standalone or client/server version available.
  • ODBC available in client/server.
