Freezerworks 2024 is here! Here's what you need to know about the new features and functions in this powerful new edition.
Introduction – 00:00
Hi there, and welcome to the Freezerworks 2024 learning series, your visual guide to our new and improved sample management software. Today, we’re diving into the exciting updates and enhancements that make our newest Freezerworks installment a true powerhouse for lab management. Should you need any more information after this video, everything we cover is explained in detail in our User’s guide and other videos to come. Without further ado, here’s What’s New…
Move Aliquots – 00:43
Let’s kick things off with a feature that has been a game changer for lab administrators since its introduction: Move Aliquots. Move Aliquots has always been a crucial tool, especially during crises like freezer breakdowns, allowing you to quickly and efficiently make large, sweeping changes to the positions in your database. You may notice, however, that I’m actually moving aliquots on the browser right now! Yes, Move Aliquots has come to our Browser Client, and it will use the same sleek visualization that exists in Explore Freezers. In Freezerworks 2024, we even added some new advanced controls to visual freezers, like zoom, pan, and scroll, making it far easier to work with especially large configurations.
Users, Roles, Groups, and People – 01:35
Next up, we've brought critical System Administration features to the Browser Client, making high-level tasks more accessible than ever. Say hello to Users, Roles, Groups, and People! This means you can configure users and their roles, manage group settings and members, and handle personnel tasks—all without leaving your browser window. It's never been easier to streamline your lab's operations. There’s even some extra capabilities hidden in the browser version of these tools, such as the ability to handle a Role’s Users from inside the Role itself, saving you a ton of time when onboarding a batch of users.
List View configurations – 02:21
But wait, there's more! We've added a new level of flexibility to your day-to-day tasks with List View configurations on the Browser Client. In previous versions, you were only able to configure “My List Views” on the browser, but now you’ll have control over all accessible list view configurations across your org. This not only provides you another opportunity to set up and manage your Freezerworks instance from the browser, but it allows daily users to be able to customize and optimize their experience as they see fit.
URL routing – 02:55
Now, for a feature that’s set to revolutionize how you navigate and share data in Freezerworks 2024 – let’s discuss URL routing. With distinct URL routes for each page of the browser client, you can now seamlessly navigate through the app and easily share specific records, views, and filters of those views with colleagues. Plus, native browser functions like refresh, back, and forward buttons work flawlessly, enhancing your productivity.
Study Detail form – 03:28
And finally, let's talk about our Pinnacle Edition and Study Management. In Freezerworks 2024, we're bringing comprehensive Study and Visit details to the Browser Client. With the Study Detail form, you can delve deep into a Study’s health and forecasting data. The Study Detail also has many new visual representations of valuable Study Management information like expected Visits and outstanding Kits. Plus, the Visit Detail form offers enhanced metadata visibility and editing capabilities—all accessible from your browser.
