System Requirements for Optimal Performance
Ensure your systems meet the specifications for smooth installation and operation.
Why your system matters.
Adhering to recommended system requirements enables Freezerworks to run smoothly and prevents interruptions and downtime.
Minimum and Recommended Requirements
The minimum and recommended requirements for Freezerworks is below.
Freezerworks 2024
SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
Windows
Windows 10 – Windows 11 (64-bit)
Windows Server 2016 – 2022
macOS
macOS Monterey (12) – Sonoma (14) Latest version, e.g., 14.1.1
HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
Hardware depends on the amount of stored data, application code, and the number of connected users.
Memory
4GB memory is a minimum for small application clients, while 8GB is recommended. Please note that larger installations may need more. 8GB memory is a minimum for server hardware, while 16GB or more is recommended.
CPU
Client Windows computers must have a dual-core CPU (Intel® Core 2 Duo). macOS users should also have a dual-core CPU compatible with Apple Silicon via Rosetta 2.
Servers for both platforms should be 64-bit machines with at least 8 GB of RAM, though 16 GB is recommended. The Freezerworks Server needs double the RAM and CPU power of the Client application. Based on database size and user count, additional memory and faster processors are advised for optimal performance.
Screen Resolution
Freezerworks requires a minimum screen resolution of 1280x1024 pixels.
Web Browser Compatibility
The Freezerworks 2024 Web Client supports the following browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge.
Compatibility Notes
Freezerworks runs on Apple Silicon via Rosetta 2, as native support for these chips is unavailable. The “Server Core” option of Windows Server is also incompatible. While newer operating systems may work, validated platforms are recommended. Demo versions can be tested before purchase to ensure compatibility. These notes ensure that the system will function properly on the specified platforms.
