Browser Client Update
The Freezerworks Browser Client has been re-written in the Angular framework (v17) to stay up to date with recent technological developments as well as future-proof the software’s security. UI across the Browser Client has received a refresh as well.
Performance Improvements
Updates have been made that greatly improve the speed of both Workflows and Import. Rendering speeds across the Browser Client have also received an improvement.
Additions to Browser Client
URL routing – most pages of the Browser Client now have a distinct URL route, enabling greater usage of browser-specific functionality.
Move Aliquots – a visual method of efficiently changing the positions of Aliquots in your Freezers, with all of the functionality available in the Desktop Client.
Configure List Views – all accessible List Views are now configurable from the Browser Client.
System Administration – Users, Roles, Groups, and People are all now configurable on the Browser Client. This includes the ability to import Users.
Test Results (Summit and Pinnacle only) – a tab to view Test Results has been added to the Inventory List View.
Study Detail – (Pinnacle only) Study records can now be opened to view pertinent metadata and to track the health and forecast of a Study using charts that visualize expected vs. actual data.
Visit Detail – (Pinnacle only) Visit records can now be opened from the Inventory List View, with the added ability to quickly open the Patient who attended the Visit.
OAuth Email Authentication
OAuth2 is now an available authentication method when setting up Email in Freezerworks.
Batch Update Invoicing Data
Customer fields are now available for Batch Update to ease the task of linking Samples to Customers for Invoicing purposes.
Errors Corrected
This release includes corrections to 61 errors reported by Customers, including the following critical errors:
Restricted Choice Lists based on the current User or a User’s current Group did not work on the Browser Client. (FW-61641)
Workflows could be processed on Aliquots locked by another User, causing data corruption. (FW-64030)
Sub-Aliquot Workflows could not be processed on the Browser Client if the Workflow did notassign positions to the Sub-Aliquots. (FW-63396)
Configuring an Import format with Visit Date but not Visit ID is now prohibited to prevent data corruption. (FW-61555)
Changes to Group assignments caused login errors on the Browser Client. (FW-61175)
‘Edit in List’ feature was available to Users with Roles that prevented data modification. (FW-61150)
Importing a Patient into two Arms of the same Study created duplicate Patient data. (FW-63441)
Deprecated Features
The following features have been deprecated and will not be available in Freezerworks 2024:
Duplicate Sample (Desktop Client only)
API dataset IDs,
Add/Modify Users via APIRole permission.
